Honors Seminar: Energy, Environment, Society
In the Spring of 2017 I took an honors seminar called Energy, Environment, and Society. It explored different mitigation strategies to combating climate change and included a week long study tour to Scotland during spring break. During the course I focused on researching bio fuels and focused on the feasibility of corn ethanol in the United States. Below is a link to a research paper and op-ed I wrote describing corn ethanol's viability. While in Scotland I visited three locations: Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Islay. I enjoyed my time in Edinburgh the most, this was due to its beautiful landscape, buildings, and sustainability focused society. While in Edinburgh I was able to visit the University and climb to the top of Arthur's seat.
