LeaderShape Reflection
LeaderShape was an amazing experience that took place over six days in January of 2019. During this retreat nearly forty students discovered more about their leadership styles and what it means to be one who leads with integrity. Every day was action packed going from 7:45 am – 10:00 pm with various social activities taking place after. By the end I was drained but mentally focused on what my future vision is.
LeaderShape was groundbreaking for me not necessarily or the content learned but rather the time taken on finding out more about myself. I realized that to be a great leader you have to understand yourself thoroughly and have a clear vision for the future. I was able to create my vision around how I see myself growing at RBI and how that vision intersects with the fundamental values I hold. My core values include sustainability (social, environmental, and economic), loyalty, and having fun. Moving forward I will talk about my vision openly with my coworkers and bosses and believe that by leading with integrity I can shape RBI. I want to a leader that people can turn to, and when they fail I will be there with my hand open ready to move forward in a collaborative direction.
Below is a photo of my LeaderShape blueprint. It signifies the the man I want to become and what my vision holds.
